Botox, for eye and forehead wrinkles, and filler with hyaluronic acid, for face, nose and lips,
they are ideal treatments to reduce the signs of aging on the skin
There is nothing wrong, in fact, in wanting to look in the mirror and wanting to see
a fresher image, with toned skin and attenuated age wrinkles. The important thing is that a
carrying out aesthetic medicine treatments is a specialized doctor in all respects. E
that the environment is suitable for this performance, sterile and equipped with the best equipment, such as
our center. The risks, in making compromises, are not only for health, but also for
the final effect (just think of how many celebrities are "ruined" by the wrong retouching)
Difference between fillers and botox
Botox and facial fillers are two effective methods for correcting the signs of aging.
They are often confused by the less experienced with each other. The truth is that they are not the same thing and
they solve specifically different problems.
Botox is the trade name of botulinum toxin. It is mainly used to treat and
prevent facial wrinkles, although it can also be used for blepharospasm, strabismus and
muscular dystonias. Botox reduces the activity of the muscles that create wrinkles and weakens them.
Fillers, thanks to hyaluronic acid, fill existing wrinkles, where elasticity due
of the degenerative process of the cells of the epidermis is missing, and stimulate production
of collagen, which plumps the skin.
Each case, of course, is different. In general, however, Botox is ideal for
so-called expression wrinkles. That is, it is used for those around the eyes (the infamous paws
of hen), for glabellar ones (at the root of the nose, between the eyebrows), for wrinkles
frontal and those created by lifting the ends of the eyebrow.
Hyaluronic acid filler, on the other hand, is preferable in the treatment of static third wrinkles
middle and lower third of the face. So let's talk about smoothing out wrinkles between the nose and lips, or
to work on the jaw line if it has a "drooping cheek" effect.
Whatever the choice, both forms of treatment are very effective ways to regain
and maintain a younger appearance.
How is the filler treatment with hyaluronic acid carried out?
This treatment is carried out thanks to infiltrations with small needles. The operation lasts between 15 and
30 minutes and generally the area is not anesthetized.
Depending on the type of filler and its absorption, the effect lasts from 6 months to a year. The effect is not
it is therefore permanent because, being a natural substance, hyaluronic acid is metabolised
from the organism.
How Botox is performed
Only surgeons specializing in plastic surgery, dermatology, neurology and surgery
maxillofacial can give botulinum toxin injections, which are however not recommended
in patients under 18, over 65 and in pregnant women.
Botox is injected in minimal doses into the affected regions with a syringe equipped with a needle
very thin, and the operation is painless. The effect is not immediate, and the attenuation of wrinkles
it begins 4-5 days after infiltration and can last 6-12 months.
