Hair transplantation (autotransplantation) is a surgical technique that redistributes hair evenly and aesthetically from hair-rich areas not destined to fall out to bald or thinning areas. It involves transferring one's own hair with its intact root and its appendages from one area of the scalp (donor area) to another bald or thinning area, the recipient area. The aim is to improve the appearance of the face by tightening the skin of the face and neck, restoring their vitality, and improving their contour by removing excess skin and suspending the underlying muscle layer. The procedure can be limited to a single area of the face (cheeks, neck) or extended to the entire face.
