Stretch Marks Treatment: Effective Remedies and Tips
Stretch marks are changes in the skin's surface where they appear as cracks and
marks. They are created due to the loss of skin elasticity and initially, they are
red, gradually turning white.
1) REASONS FOR THE CREATION OF STRETCH MARKS:
Weight gain or loss, puberty, etc.
2) AESTHETIC TREATMENT
The most important treatment should be prevention. It is necessary to improve lifestyle
through a diet rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals, engaging in physical activity,
and applying special creams.
3) THE TREATMENT IS CARRIED OUT IN SOME WAYS:
1) Peeling to remove dead cells.
2) Foods with hyaluronic acid, vitamins E, collagen, elastin, etc.
3) Emolymphatic massage with the right products (creams based on mandelic acid, glycolic
acid) to level the skin layer.
4) Exposure to UVA rays to even out skin tone.
Depending on the length and depth of the stretch marks, 28 to 40 treatment sessions with
the above-mentioned methods may be necessary.
4) DERMAROLLER
One of the most innovative methods of stretch mark treatment is the dermaroller. The
technique used is Micro-needling where several hundred microscopic needles puncture the
skin to form collagen and promote the filling process for:
- Marks after acne or other skin traumas have been removed
- Wrinkles
- Stretch marks
- Cellulite
The micro-needling method with dermaroller consists of using the body's natural
self-regeneration capabilities. The body responds by puncturing with micro-aggressions,
as it would with any other object penetrating the skin. Introducing small and thin
needles into the skin stimulates the emergence of new cells that turn into collagen.
This new collagen binds to the existing one in the epidermis giving more thickness to
the skin, filling in the marks and wrinkles, thus achieving complete skin regeneration.
Dermaroller is a certified medical device. It is sterile and disposable, unquestionable
conditions to ensure maximum patient safety. Dermaroller has obtained the quality
certificate for its production and distribution.
- Use for stretch marks
Skin tension causes its rupture which creates fewer and scars. So far, they have been
difficult to remove, and the use of creams or laser treatments has not produced the
desired results. In 2007, many doctors started using the micro-technique of Dermaroller
to treat stretch marks, to stimulate new cells like fibroblasts that turn into collagen
and elastin. This is not a painful treatment.
- How the treatment is performed
30 to 45 minutes before the start of the process, apply an anesthetic cream. The area to
be treated and microneedling with Dermoroller for 20-30 minutes is disinfected. The
result at the end of the treatment is reddened skin and small drops of blood on the
surface. The final massage with the individual specific product will immediately fill
the open microchannels reaching the active layer of the skin. The rash in the treated
area can last 2 or 3 days, but this does not prevent normal life, such as work or
school. After the treatment, the stimulated regeneration lasts about 4-6 weeks, a time
when the treatment is repeated.
5) CARBOXYTERAPY
Carboxytherapy is a treatment used to combat cellulite, stretch marks. It works thanks
to the action of carbon dioxide that reacts to the skin giving it a healthier appearance
and fighting fat.
- What is carboxytherapy?
Carbon dioxide is a natural gas present in every human body. It is a byproduct of
metabolism and increases with increased muscle tension. This means that when physical
activity is performed, the amount of carbon dioxide in the tissue increases. The role of
carbon dioxide is to expand blood vessels and in this form, it will bring more oxygen to
the muscles. Therefore, muscles grow after physical activity. Carbon dioxide (CO2) has
another important role; it destroys fat cells under the skin. For this reason, carbonic
therapy is used to treat cellulite and stretch marks. In addition to the effect on fat
cells, carbon dioxide increases the amount of blood in the fibrous tissue of the skin,
giving it a healthier appearance. It interferes with cellulite and fat eliminating them.
- How does carboxytherapy work?
First of all, a medical examination of cellulite is necessary to decide the amount of
CO2 to inject. The session lasts 10-15 minutes during which CO2 is injected under the
skin in very thin age. (after 0.3 mm). The process is very simple and does not require
recovery times and anesthesia is not used. The treatment does not cause allergies or
side effects. Carboxytherapy can be performed from 4 to 16 sessions. Sessions can be
held daily or every 3-4 or 7 days.
